White crystals. Easy to absorb moisture. Easily soluble in water, ethanol, chloroform and acetone, slightly soluble in benzene, water solubility: 2795 g/L (25°C). The pH of the 10% aqueous solution is 6.5, and the pH does not change when heated to 95°C for 28 hours. It is irritating.
Purpose
For ion pair chromatography. Test gold, iridium, osmium, palladium, rhodium and ruthenium. Polarographic analysis. Used as a phase transfer catalyst in organic synthesis.
